Pentaho licenses its software as an annual subscription or via a term-based licence. Typical terms include three, five or seven year licences. For users, this means the start-up cost for Pentaho software is lower than those associated with purchasing software. Also the overall total cost is more manageable because the subscription option includes software, maintenance, and support.
Subscription fees depend on the Pentaho package selected, product configuration, environment, and the number of processor cores required. The pricing model is not dependent on the number of users.
No, Pentaho is only available as a subscription option.
Yes, maintenance is included in your Pentaho subscription fee. If the licence is acquired through it-novum, it-novum can provide you with first-level, German-speaking support. The licence keys provided to the user are valid for the duration of your subscription. If an updated software version is released during this time, the user can download the new version and continue to use their current software key.
A valid subscription is, of course, required for using the Pentaho software. If a user does not renew their software subscription, their software license key will expire and the Pentaho software will cease to function.
