Issam, who are you?
A technology and data advocate. I have been working with data management solutions for about 10 years now across Europe, middle-east and Africa, utilizing solutions and technologies from Oracle, IBM, AWS, Cloudera, Hortonworks, MapR, Zaloni and others. I simply love anything and everything about data engineering and data science, and mostly being challenged. Deep inside I’m still a hardcore developer, started my first HelloWorld application when I was 12 years old, but that has evolved now. In my free time I enjoy being out with friends and family, traveling and music.
What is your connection to Pentaho?
I lead sales engineering activities across the emerging and southern markets at Hitachi Vantara for Pentaho. I enable our customers and prospects to harness the power and capabilities of our platform, see hidden data insights and extract value by abstracting the complexities that is usually accompanied with big data and data science.
What will you talk about?
I’ll talk about lambda and kappa architectures, how they can be utilized to provide scalable, efficient, fault-tolerant and low latency paradigms for IoT implementations across different industries. I’ll show how Pentaho can be used as an end-to-end platform to address all aspects of these architectures: speed, batch and serving layers.
What do you expect from PCM?
Happy people leaving with some new knowledge, lots of questions and new connections.
