Data Festival 2026

Data Festival 2026

The DATA Festival Munich brings together professionals and executives from the data and AI community. The focus is on practical approaches, proven solutions, and discussions on how to successfully implement data strategies. The event is aimed at anyone who wants to actively promote the use of data and AI within their organization. And our presentation is about seamless traceability from the mainframe to the AI agent.

Festival Stage Day 2, on June 17, at 9:40 a.m.

Trusted AI emerges between data integration and semantic layer

Data landscapes in banks and large enterprises have evolved over time: Mainframe systems, SAP, data warehouses, market and Bloomberg data, modern data platforms, and new AI and agent systems must all work together today—in a way that is regulatory-compliant, technically robust, and highly responsive.

In this presentation, Philipp Heck demonstrates how an integrated data management approach is developed that makes the entire journey of a data point transparent: from classic source systems through ETL and observability components to semantic-layer for AI-agents.

Using concrete architectural building blocks such as Pentaho PDI, OpenTelemetry, OpenLineage, and data catalogs, the presentation explains how companies:

  • implement complete audit trails,
  • Creating trust in analytical and AI-based decisions,
  • and can put new AI use cases into production much faster.

The presentation illustrates why modern AI applications are only scalable if the context, lineage and governance of the underlying data are consistently available and how it-novum accompanies its customers on this path from classic DWH/SAP landscapes to the semantic layer.

Experience hands-on how modern data architectures relieve the burden on specialist departments, data teams and compliance and create concrete added value from the first use case to the productive AI agent.
